What is "Remote Rehab"?"

Remote rehab is a virtual rehabilitation session or telehealth visit.  It is the use of electronic communication to provide health care information and services remotely.
Studies show that telehealth can be an effective form of treatment that can empower patients and allow providers to offer high quality care, increased access, and higher patient satisfaction of care.
By opting for telehealth sessions you are selecting individualized, face to face care remotely using a secure and confidential (HIPAA compliant) platform that is very user-friendly.

What are the benefits of utilizing a remote rehabilitation session?

Safety, comfort, and convenience of your own home
No increase in potential COVID-19 exposure from leaving home.
No additional time/expense of commuting or parking
No need to wear face masks during exercise
Therapist/patient communication may be easier without face masks
PT can guide patient on exercises or recommended self-treatment techniques while patient is in their own home/workspace in real-time.
Convenient when childcare is limited or unavailable

Do you accept Insurance?

Rebecca Rauch Physical Therapy is an out of network provider for all insurances.  On request, I will provide a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.  It is your responsibility to be aware of your insurance benefits regarding telehealth as the current environment is fluid in response to COVID-19.  Many more insurance carriers are currently covering telehealth sessions during the pandemic, please contact your carrier to inquire about your plan coverage.

What are Buddy Sessions?

“Buddy” Sessions are available for Education Services.
Life is better with friends so sign up for an education class with a friend and receive 25% off.
When registering for a buddy session, the system may say "couple's session" or ask for your "partner's" information.  Go ahead and put in the info for the person that will be taking the session with you.

Question 6

How many Sessions do I need?

Typically appointments will occur once a week for 4 weeks and then every other week for 2 weeks.  Each person is unique so your timeline of service might be different. Follow up appointments are scheduled depending your individual response, progression, practice time regarding the level of activity and skills prescribed.  Each session we will assess your improvement and build off your current level with additional homework. I focus on your self-care, independence and empowerment.

Question 7

Do I need a referral from my Doctor?

Accepted Answer

A script is required from a physician for telehealth services.  I will be able to offer services for 10 days prior to obtaining a physical therapy referral.  To avoid an unnecessary delay in services it is recommended to obtain a script up front.  You can upload your script through your client portal after booking a telehealth evaluation.
